“The Tender Bar”: 7 p.m., Capitol Cinema at  Aberdeen Community Theatre, 415 S. Main St. Tickets $9 at CapitolCinema.net. From director George Clooney, based on a best-selling memoir, “The Tender Bar” follows an aspiring writer pursuing his romantic and professional dreams. Perched on a stool in his uncle’s bar, he learns what it means to grow up from a colorful group of local characters. Starring Ben Affleck, Tye Sheridan, Lily Rabe, Christopher Lloyd and Daniel Ranieri.

Saturday

South Dakota Snow Queen Coronation: 7 p.m., Aberdeen Civic Theatre, 203 S. Washington St. Adult tickets are $15, student tickets are $8 and kids under 4 are free.

Williams & Ree will play Saturday at the Yelduz Shrine, 802 S. Main St.

Williams & Ree: 8 p.m., Yelduz Shrine, 802 S. Main St, doors open at 6 p.m., 21-plus show. After the Williams & Ree show, there will be live music by Darren Beyer. General admission tickets are $25. Advance tickets available at the shrine center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
