“The insulation, that plastic packed full of water kept getting heavier and heavier,” said car shop owner Mark Johnson.

Johnson is desperately trying to fix the damage from the tornado.

He wasn’t inside his car shop when the storms hit Leachville, but when he came back, things weren’t looking good.

“I saw the back door and the back room blow down, and the ceiling went straight up and out,” said Johnson.

“The ceiling panel come down right over that light. When that panel came down, water started flooding in,” he said.

Johnson isn’t the only business owner suffering. The Emergency Management Director said 21 businesses and 75 homes were damaged while five businesses and ten homes were destroyed.

For now, Johnson is putting his emotions aside so he can focus on rebuilding.

“Don’t want to ever see it again, anywhere. I wish it would all go away,” said Johnson.

He said he’s thankful for his friends, family, and the strangers who helped him.

“I have a whole room of people I don’t even know that showed up today,” said Johnson.
