WILLMAR — Local, regional and state organizations are set to host the 2022 Workforce Solutions Summit Jan. 20 at the Willmar Conference Center, according to a news release from City of Willmar and Kandiyohi County Economic and Development Commission.
The summit will create an opportunity for business owners and human resources professionals to dive into employee retention, hiring, diversifying, and to foster community conversations.
“If you are struggling with hiring or retaining a workforce, this event is an opportunity to gain insights on trends, to come away with some ideas to implement, and to provide input to decision making regarding your experiences,” Aaron Backman, executive director of the Kandiyohi County and City of Willmar Economic Development Commission, said in the release.
Attendees will hear Mike Henke, a national speaker, discuss what it means to be a preferred employer while Luke Greiner from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Education Development will share state and local labor trends. Roundtable discussions also will be facilitated around topics driven by those who attend.
The summit will take place from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, followed by a social hour.
